  Prevention Champions

Statewide Prevention Champions

Statewide Prevention 1st Challenge Champions are celebrities, athletes, and other well-known North Carolina personalities who lend their support to Challenge outreach efforts, media campaigns, and recruitment efforts. Prevention Champions use their status as public figures and their voices to support statewide efforts to rise to the Challenge and put prevention first for a healthier North Carolina.

Local Prevention Champions

Participating counties are encouraged to recruit local individuals to be local Prevention Champions. Ideal local Prevention Champions are people who are well-known and respected by community members. A high school track coach or a religious leader might be an ideal local Prevention Champion. Each community is unique, and so potential Champions vary from community to community. The most important consideration is that the person has the ability to connect with people in the area.

NC Prevention Partners is immensely proud to partner with the following Statewide Prevention Champions. We thank them for their valuable support!
